hmm so we are flying to AMBON international jazz festival.They welcome us as the representative for Malaysia and South East Asia…

now i am freagging preassured…wait a second,we are playing 2 sets,a set of our own band and a second set of sergio’s spanish latin songs.And we need to conduct a workshop…i mean man,how to we conduct a workshop??!!!

the best part is THE STAR wants to feature us on papers and on their videos next week…I gotta prepare a speech @@!!

updates take 2

duh…i accidentally close my tabs without posting this new blog post and now i had to retype it all over again….fine

recently I’m so filled with the good things that it’s kind of amazing to me.Thanks to my Kawan-kawan and teachers.I didn’t know i had the guts to go for jam sessions now…The first one i went to was at Nerofico.John thomas was the host that night and he called us all up to jam.I was really nervous that time,because it was my first time tho.I played with some ASK guys and sitting down there was TK,Fly,Rozhan,John Thomas,Ee jeng(my sifu who pushed me up to jam)…i thought it was the worst till the next day when we went to watch Gabriel Evans(my piano teacher whose really awesome jazz pianist,played with christian mc bride),and Jonathan Jacobs on the drums.Suddenly he called me up and i was blank sitting at the keyboard.The whole level is packed with people,all musicians,MPO musicians,MPO musicians hired back to malaysia.So i started playing..they slow down abit the tempo.I told them swing,not bebop…and it was my turn to solo.My mind went blank and suddenly i felt like a noob.I cant remember what i solo-ed but they seemed to like it and ask me to solo another round.Thank God David recorded it and i listened to it…i was like yeah wohoo!!!It was not the worst yet..one night we sat in at alexis jam session,Fook was there,Rozhan was there,Ee Jeng,MPO’s head of horn section was there,Marcus was there(the awesome trombone player from Juliet),Hiran was there,Stu was there !!! arggh and guess what…Ee Jeng pushed me up again.I sat at the keyboard,Marcus was on the trombone,GIGI on the guitars !!!!!!!!!! and some other random guys which are really good on the saxes,last but not least omar and daniel on the drum and bass…they played the dave weckle songs and luckily i pulled it off tho.

Anyway this would be the latest things im up to…The first coming gig would be at the celebrities club at solaris.And we are D-BEN @@ i know its lame,but its better than David suggestions such as brown sugar or mine,metal steel wood and everything good…Joining us on the guitar is the young talent Aliff,16 years old killer electric fusion and blues guitarist,Anthony,the bassist with a thick groove recognized by Berklee with a scholarship,David the awesome drummer,me and a special appearance on the vocals.

The next one would be short and sweet musical at KL PAC….

i actually can’t believe the director is also the director of cuci the musical

grace 2

so Pastor Joseph prince replied my message,my question that i posted on my blog,the previous entry.

and he says

so it’s rest in work,not rest from work =)

rest in work refers to resting in the finish work of Christ on the cross,not resting in our daily work.

Grace?

was transcribing some songs,and i started complaining why can’t other people do it?

Oftently i hear people say,it’s by the grace of God that we improve in what we do,because of Him we reach there,focus less on the natural and concern more about spiritual things.I can’t agree more till a moment ago,a thought came pass my mind.We success not because of how hard we toil our ground and how much afford we put in laboring,but it’s by His grace.This goes on,it’s because of His grace,that we can labour even more.Start thinking :

Which means not living under grace = not laboring at all

Which also means laboring but not seeing success = not laboring under grace.Doesn’t it make sense?

I believe in doing both,the Bible recorded that David defeated Goliath through God’s help,but it was recorded also that he practices his sling on wild animals that try to harm his flock when he was a shepherd boy,he did not just pick up the sling randomly and strike bulls eye on Goliath.(I only realised this when p.kenneth prophesied over me when i was attending his church in penang,which he says keep practicing.

we’ll i love God so much,that i would relate to Him a lot,at the same time give Him my best.

do i love my relationship partner? Yes.And i try to do everything to the best for her/him.

do i love God even more?

should i give Him my best in everything i do then?

he shared with us today,one of the very first concerts he played with,despite david tao,wang lee hom,ah mei,sandy lam and people like sze wan and some Grammies’ artist..it was none other than andy lau..

they were having a rehearsal one of the songs,and the manager hand out thick envelops to each musician where lead sheets are placed in.The drummer taught he knew the song and took it easily.And there goes the practice…

He missed the first roll/fills in,Andy lau turns back,gave him a smile…

and they started again…and he missed it again,where he fails to read the notes and fills written in the manuscript…Andy lau turns back once again and smile at him and stare at the manager for a long period of time…

there they goes again rehearsing the song….guess what? the drummer missed it again…this time Andy lau never looks back,he did nothing..

the manager went out and made a phone call..in less than 10 minutes someone was at the door,and the manager told the drummer,sorry dude,you’re fired…

a higher level of love

do we love the blessings of God,or the God of blessings?

Can you say i love you Jesus when you are suffering sickness or financial problems,as much as when you are in the peak of your career and health?

something strike my mind today,it did impacted me.I always tend to tell God,I want to serve You with my music,with my finance,with this and that.So God,let there be an increase of anointing in the things i touch.

But God spoke to me today,something new to me.It’s a huge different to say i will do this and that for you God,on the other hand humbly come before God,saying what can i do for you today God?

makes me think ….

can i love God as much as i loves Him today,when i felt the calling,i receive the gifting,the financial blessings and even health?Is the great commission still real to me when finance is very real?

treasure hunt take 2

the basic truth about treasure hunt is,God wants to speak to individuals.So we avail ourselves to gather and pray,searching for them after receiving impressions on people and their needs.The info normally goes by the persons name,age,dressings,needs,age and etc.

so this is the 2nd time i went hunting with ps.lois and jimmy.The first one was pretty awesome.

Today i received an impression of a middle age man of the age around 46,9pm plus,wearing dark clothes at the road.Ps lois got the impression of someone wearing headgear,near a mosque and field.Jimmy and Ps lois both got a chinese name as they pray too.

so there we go hunting…

the first person we meet was an old man sitting alone at the bus stop.After Ps lois talked to him for some time,he told us he is 71 and he’s still working to support him and his wife meals.And he works from 12 am to 7 am everyday.After finding out his wife suffers diabetes and high blood pressure  we prayed for him and he seems very open.We got his number and he got ours.

it was then around 9 p.m we left and headed for a second round of hunting.We decided to head to desa setapak housing area where we used to play badminton.So there was a mosque and a field.Out of a sudden,we heard the ambulance and it was heading to that area.It passed us by and stopped beside the mosque.We trailed the ambulance and we saw an indian middle age man wearing dark clothes beside the road in comma condition,and he was wearing something on his head.So we eventually found the treasure of that night ! We didn’t manage to lay hand on the person as there were a big crowd of people there,with some policeman and a medic team.We went on to the car and started interceding for the person.

i’m looking foreword for the take 3.I believe everyone is a treasure in God’s eye and we Christians should go out and bring all these treasures back to God !!

things have been weird all these while,and don’t expect me to tell everything here,as i need to take care of people’s image and reputation.For all the things that has occur,i will say that no one is to be blamed and no one should go and find fault or gossip about another.

i’m moving out soon.It’s time to move on.To clarify things,moving is not because the results of arguments or misunderstanding,but i choose to grow spiritually and decided in my heart to go after more of HIM.
